Twas the week before Christmas and all over the place,
Let’s get this thing done, was on everyone’s face.
The decorations are pondered, as to how much is needed,
The paydays are counted, the collectors aren’t heeded.
The fireplace going when the burn ban is lifted,
Looking for that thing, you were going to re-gift it.
The presents are delivered, you can track them yourself,
Funny that the government hires all the elves?…
The house and the tree awash in LED lights,
To help with the bill, that by June may be right.
The parties are gone to, with Mary and Murph,
Before the end of the night, they sing peace on Earph.
A bell will ring, a story told then it all will come together.
Merry Christmas one and all, and may Peace be with you forever.
